Follow Up In Your MLM Business

FOLLOW UP IN YOUR MLM BUSINESS

ENSURES RESIDUAL INCOME

Building an MLM business that will provide you with residual income depends in large measure on keeping the customers and distributors you work so hard to enroll.  But ensuring customer loyalty depends in large measure on YOU and your follow up with them.

How many times have you been so excited to make the sale, and then forget all about the customer or distributor you just signed up?  No, I don’t do that, you say.  The company always delivers, and I know they will be well taken care of, and I have to keep building this MLM business, and you then just push on.

The need for follow up with your customers and distributors begins immediately and continues for the life of the relationship.  It means doing what you promised, e.g.  helping them learn to use the product properly, coaching them with their MLM business, and teaching them to do what you do to build their MLM  business as well.  And perhaps, even more importantly, letting that person know how much you appreciate them, and their business.

Appropriate care of your customer or distributor means going the extra mile for that person.  Good follow up gives you credibility, and places you head and shoulders about other direct sales people, even in your own  MLM company.  It also ensures that the person you just signed up will stay with you.  They will continue to order and/or do what you do to build their  MLM business as well.  Remember your distributors will do what you do, not what you say to do.  They will follow your lead.  So make sure it is a good one.

How often have you received a thank you note for your business when you purchased an automobile, an insurance policy, a new home, or a piece of office equipment?  If it happened, and it doesn’t usually, didn’t it make you feel good about that purchase, and increase your loyalty to the person you worked with?  And what if they continue to send you information you can use, or remind you they are still in business?  Wouldn’t that make you remember them the next time you need a car, or more insurance?

How often has an order been late and no one called you to explain.  What about the sales person who promised to mail you papers or brochures, but never got around to it?  We also remember those people who don’t deliver, and we tell everyone we know about it.  You want to build loyalty and happy customers, so here is a way to do it.

FOLLOW UP BEGINS AFTER THE SALE

  1. Congratulate your new customer or distributor and welcome them to the company.  Give them the customer service number, and let them know about when to expect their first order.  Make sure they know how to interact with the company online, and go over it with them.
  2. Review the person’s information and update your notes.  Immediately send them a thank you note (http://www.mlmquicknotes.com) with your thanks for their business and reiterating any important details they need to know.
  3. Call the customer or distributor in a couple of days after the transaction or after they have received their order to see if they have any questions.
  4. When you were getting to know the person, you learned about their interests, hobbies and family.  Use that information to let them know about events, or an article or book that might be of interest to them.
  5. Be sure to send them a birthday card and keep track of the anniversary of when they signed up with you.  Send them a card thanking them for their continued business on that date (http://www.mlmquicknotes.com).

FOLLOW UP BEGINS AFTER THE SALE

Follow these steps, and  you are building relationships with your customers and distributors that over time will lead to referrals and develop into a long term business.  Treating people well puts you on the way to building a very substantial MLM  business.
